This is an American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR, First Aid and AED class for all three areas: Adult, Child and Infant. The class is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.

Upon successful completion of course, participants will then receive a certification card valid for 2 years given directly from the American Heart Association; valid up until November 2020. Given the new stipulations by the American Heart Association in regards to format of certification cards, these cards may be either provided electronically or in printed format. The Instructor will be the one in charge to determine which format will be followed and given to students successfully completing course. Students can expect to receive a card within 7 to 10 days after succesfully completing the course.

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
